Pajimatan King Tomb

                                                     
                Imogiri Pajimatan King tomb is located in the Village Pajimatan, Kalurahan Wukirsari, District Imogiri, Bantul regency. The position is about 17km southeast of the city. Tomb of 10 hectares is located on the "Bukit Merak" as high as 35-100 meters above sea level. The location must must be reached by up the stairs , the amount of approximately 364 steps.This tomb was built in 1645 by Sultan Agung Hanyokrokusumo, the third king of Mataram Dynasty of Islam. This place became known as Pajimatan Imogiri, which was buried when the Sultan Agung died on April 6, 1645. The tomb of Sultan Agung himself to be the parent's tomb and called Kasultanangungan, located in the upper middle bagiah.

                                                
                   Post Giyanti Agreement in 1755, Tomb Imogiri were divided into 2 parts. The west is used as the tomb of the kings of Surakarta Kasunanan considered older. While the east is used as the tomb of the kings of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. All the kings of Surakarta and Yogyakarta Sultanate Kasunanan buried in this tomb, except for Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono II are buried in the town.Imogiri undergoing refurbishment at the Tomb of the lane lane VI and VII, starting in 1890. This restoration adds a decorative element nuanced Bali, because of restoration workers are mostly from the island of Bali.
                                                 
                   Cemetery gate at Home Kasultananagungan there are 4 large jars. Jars on the far left side named Nyai Danumurti from Srivijaya (Palembang).
